A company offering cabinet painting may also offer replacement fronts, but neither description confirms treatment of peeling thermofoil. The comparison below separates published claims from questions still requiring an answer.

What the companies actually publish

This is a small evidence sample, not a ranking or a complete directory. These businesses are independent of Avantia. Website claims establish what is advertised; they do not verify workmanship, current registration or appointment availability.

Four distinctions to make before requesting a quote

  1. New doors versus full refacingAsk whether exposed frames and end panels are covered, refinished or left as they are. A new door does not automatically make an old frame match.
  2. Existing material versus replacement materialA page offering new laminate fronts does not by itself confirm that the contractor can prepare your existing laminate or remove failed thermofoil.
  3. New hardware versus a storage rebuildSpecify which hinges, slides and drawer boxes are replaced. Ask how their dimensions and installation affect the quote.
  4. Website coverage versus acceptance of your jobSend your town, a cabinet inventory and photos of damage. Request written confirmation of the exact scope before comparing prices.

Verify the contracting business separately.

Massachusetts directs homeowners to check HIC registration and disciplinary history, ask for insurance evidence and references, and use a signed written contract. Match the contracting name and registration number to the business offering the quote.

How we checked

The original company-page review was October 29, 2026. We rechecked Mid-State's FAQ and installation page on October 30 and updated its row to reflect those pages. We did not call the businesses, inspect their work, verify individual registrations or obtain quotes. Recheck the original pages before hiring.
